Exhaust tips arrived

I ordered a set of tops from a guy on another forum and fitted them today...... But I am unsure my son likes them though.....

I tried that but they were well past it.... I really do think it is the original exhaust on this car it has no joins apart from off the manifold

I have these fitted to mine, although think they may even be a little bigger. To make them look better you should polish up the standard exhaust with sandpaper or one of the sanding rolls attached on a dremmel. Alternatively spray them with some high temp silver paint so the finish will last longer and won't take as long to clean. Or you could even cut the original tailpipe back like it did so they are less visible.

abrasive glass cleaner is also great for metal and even better than autosol, though not a fan of fake tailpies I agree they should at least be cut down inside so you cant see the old pipes

I put the OEM Chrome tips on mine, ripping off the original charcoal grey 2.2 Sport tips. Looks much better.

Yes, but from the BMW eBay store. They were about £60 delivered.

That's the part I ordered. Those fit my 2002 2.2 Sport exhaust perfectly, but as with all things BMW, check your exhaust diameter and ensure these fit your car.

I replaced mine with oem from Lincoln. Good price and much smaller than the old ones. The new ones are slightly oval and need to be squeezed so that they are round when slipped on and then they grip the pipes when they return to their oval shape.

My original ones seem to be bigger than some... I have tried the old ones up against some others and mine seem bigger
