Hi. I'm new to the forum, and to Z4's. Had my 2005 E85 3.0i for 3 weeks and haven't stopped smiling!
When I bought it I knew the exhaust had been butchered many times and had been poorly welded, so I'm planning on a new catback exhaust. I don't want anything that will drone excessively on long runs, or doesn't cost the earth (unfortunately the wife is keeping half an eye on my spending). I think I've decided on a Gravitiy Performance system, but I would be very appreciative of any and all comments.
Cheers.

Depends where you're located, but if you're up here in the 'grim' north I'd suggest Tony Banks at Leeds. He did my E85 , I told him I didn't want a loud boy racer, just a nice deep burble and it sounded great.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm very likely to ask some very stupid questions in the future, so I feel I should offer my apologies in advance. Sorry.
On the exhaust front I have decided to fit the Gravity Performance (cost was a big factor at this point) if it turns out to be a dud then I'll have to fork out for a better system down the line.

Hi Paul, i live close by in the Cotswolds and also need a cat back system for my 2.8. How does the gravity sound and what was the total cost?

Hi Dean.
Gravity performance store on EBay £322, but currently £370ish. I had a friend with a garage fit it for me, he said it was easy to fit.
Sound is great, very throaty when accelerating, but doesn’t seem too loud when cruising on the motorway (although I always have the roof down, so might resonate more in the cabin with roof up).
Hope that helps.
