This one I am looking at is not a sport as described in the advert. It may have the sport gear knob and steering wheel but it is not a sport
You have to be careful with claims a vehicle is something special! Glad you found out before and not after the fact, JIM

Some of the forum members did point out that it seemed a bit odd on the specification. Anyway I am still going to look at the car on Thursday. I feel a price reduction coming on !

Thanks for the offer. It would have been between 1 to 2 but as the car is described as a sport and is clearly not I have been on a few websites and the value is more like £2850. I have contacted the seller to inform him it is not a sport and have suggested a new value of around £3000 maximum would be the most I would offer in the cicumstances so I will await his reply.

I think you are right to reduce the price a bit.
But even though it's not a sport still a tidy looking zed in a really nice colour
I thought all the 2.2s where sport edition, the one listed doesn't even have the lower suspension,

No Sean 2.2 was fitted to other models @Mint Dave's car powered by the 2.2 his is not a sport its an individual
Sport is a special edition was available on both 2.2 and 3.0 models. Individual meant you could spec pretty much anything you wanted on the car from the factory. Not all cars are sport or individual.

The Sports Edition has code S719 and this one does not have it. Anyway I have spoken to the owner and on the registartion document it said to be a "sports". Anyway he has agreed to lower the price to £3000 which is slightly high but acceptable. I will see it on Thursday lunch time and I hope it will be a good car. Thank you for all your helpfull comments.
I would take what it says on the V5 with a pinch of salt, seen lots of random stuff listed on those. The definitive as you say is down to what BMW built in the factory.
Sorry Steve, incorrect. Mine is definitely a Sports AND an Individual model. Code S719A on the build spec - Sports Edition and Code 940A - Special Equipment BMW Individual.

It is a nice looking car. Almost flawless underneath. New water pump rad and thermostat housing. A few stone chips . Very hard to say no !
