love the old term water rat. when i was on phantoms and then lightning in akrotiri we used do a week on water rat duties with the fire crews about every 3 months great fun

That was just being phased out when I joined in 83, a good crack by all accounts.

Stripes do nothing for the car (I added a 3mm red pin stripe on my E89 following the body curve), neither do those.black wheels. That seems to be a craze that has died its death. Bright wheels make a car stand out.

yeah flew in side by side seated lightning we had 2 in cyprus i didnt have a g suit on and my polish pilot though it around left my breakfast on the tarmac after but would do it again in a heart beat dont know what was better that or the uk record eurostar run 205mph across medway bridge great memories

You mean the indoor (hanger 9 if memory serves me) drop training attached to that overhead framework, where the moment you landed and tried to roll out your ''nuts'' got the full force of the harness.......
