love the old term water rat. when i was on phantoms and then lightning in akrotiri we used do a week on water rat duties with the fire crews about every 3 months great funto the Forum from West Cumbria. Water Rat for 23 years here though been in Civvy Street since 2006 working in the Nuclear Industry.View attachment 332935

yeah flew in side by side seated lightning we had 2 in cyprus i didnt have a g suit on and my polish pilot though it around left my breakfast on the tarmac after but would do it again in a heart beat dont know what was better that or the uk record eurostar run 205mph across medway bridge great memories

You mean the indoor (hanger 9 if memory serves me) drop training attached to that overhead framework, where the moment you landed and tried to roll out your ''nuts'' got the full force of the harness.......
