I'm off on my first "epic" journey in Merlot, since I bought her. My plan is to take the ferry from Harwich to Hook van Holland and travel up through Northern Holland into Germany. After staying in a Pensione near Hamburg I intend to drive to the Northern most point in Jutland and spend a few days enjoying a Music Festival. From there I will take the ferry to Norway and travel through Kristiansand to Oslo and spend som time in this great city, before driving a famous fast route down the West coast of Sweden, re entering Denmark via another ferry to Elsinore.
I have a small cottage on the Northern coast of Zeeland where I will spend some lazy days languishing on the beach and getting any repairs done if needed, before driving back through Germany to Hook van Holland.
In all I expect to be away for 18 days and drive almost 2500 miles.
Do any of you know of any favourite spots of interest for Z's on my route?

Just caught this. The scenery around Norway and Denmark looks amazing. I have spotted what looks to be some excellent roads going through the Fjords. I always go East to the Alps or South to the Pyrenees. I like it warmer

I understand somewhat, but prefer not to boil my brain in Spain (nice rhyme) in August. Norway and Denmark temps in August are in the high twenties to low thirties, which is plenty, thank you very much.

I know what you mean. We did a Euro trip then finished in Spain for a week in a villa in July 2015 and it was that hot we only dared venture out before 10am or after 7pm as it was too hot. Mind it was better last year in September
 
Your trip sounds wonderful I hope all goes well for you.

Thank you for this opportunity, but I have already planned to go via Hook van Holland, so do not need to go via the Tunnel. I am intending to explore Northern Holland before joining the Autobahn in Germany.

Through my Bank, I've got Auto National Breakdown cover which includes up to 90 days while driving in Europe. I'm covered for any eventuality. But thanks for drawing my attention to this important detail.
