OK I know we've had this on here before so it's not new, but it's new for this year ! Looking forward to zedding to Spain again so I've been on the comparison sites. It's a lengthy process trying to sift through the various 'amounts' of cover and, thinking back to our member who had to get his car brought back over here last year, I ideally want cover that takes into account our valuation on whether a car is 'repairable' .
So anybody got a good deal recently or recommendation ?

We have ours through our bank Ken. Pay £15 a month and we've got full RAC cover inc full European cover and home start and all year round world wide travel insurance. Don't normally have these sorts of policy but this is great and we have used it a couple of times and it's been good.

Thanks Dave, yes we had something like when we were with the Nationwide, but then we changed bank. Last year I used the RAC for our trip to France and Spain, but I was wondering if anyone had found good cover for any less. Always worth asking around !

We've got Euro cover with RAC through our bank. It came in handy when my head gasket went during the forum euro trip last year. I had to pay 100 euro surcharge when I called them out because of the age of my Zed, but the service was faultless. They gave me a hire car for the duration of the trip and delivered my Zed back to my house in Cornwall.

Used the AA last year for Breakdown and Travel insurance

Be careful going for some of the cheaper ones, some of them don't cover older vehicles I believe Green Flag only cover up to 9 years old.
Did mine last year with the AA

Yes, @Jack Ratt it was you I was thinking of in my post. I also used RAC last year, but they have three levels of cover. With the 'middle' one it refers to 'market value' concerning retrieving the car, but 'unlimited' for the top level cover. It's the definition of 'market value' that could be an issue like on most insurance policies for our cars.
I'll keep looking at the moment, no rush, but I won't be taking out any cheap cover that doesn't include getting the car back here if necessary.
