If you want the same cover you have in the UK - for me that's comprehensive - you need a green card

I think you'll only have 3rd party...

dave just checked my policy as below,
We will extend your insurance to provide the cover shown on
your schedule in the following countries for up to 90 days in
any one insurance year while you are using your vehicle for
social, domestic or pleasure purposes. Cover is also
included while your vehicle is being transported to these
countries by rail or by a recognised sea route which takes
less than 65 hours.
aAny member of the European Union.
bAndorra.
cIceland.
dLiechtenstein.
eNorway.
fSwitzerland.
If you go over the 90-day period without our permission,
cover is reduced to the minimum you need under European
Union Directives on motor insurance while your vehicle is in
the countries shown above.

this seems to cover it but i will speak to them

Aha - looks like you're paying for the cover even if you don't go to Europe Pete. You'll be ok with your insurance.

All, I have updated the first post on the main thread as well, with some more relevant details.

I am on the 10.36 out from UK. Please remember the cut off time for check-in times. First post has meet point and time.

As to the arrival time on the Friday evening at the Folkestone Hotel, it will depend upon work and what time the M25 allows us past.. I am sure if you have driven that motorway you will understand that comment.

I will try and upload the files to my GPS as well, thank you @billz for the files. I hope I can download them ok too.

Looking forward to this a lot. :):)

OK, I've bit the bullet and been to halfraids and bought a set of defectors, I was making some but they looked a dogs dinner so ended up buying them. @hard top can I bung the deflectors in the glove box and stick them on if we drive at night which we are not planning to do? It's a waste of £8 if I don't turn the headlights on and the backing is a t*** to get off!

@Grumpy, yep never stuck mine on in the UK unless driving at night.
When @Titan came over here we just stuck some tape on at the workshop.
They stop in the glove box then, tar mate, seya Sunday, seems odd saying that to you! :D

Bummer, wish I'd have thought about tape, just bought sum from wilko's £5, really went against the grain,
Had a re-cycled set int garage , can I find em , can I f****** ,
Really annoying.
Grumpy M
