You do not want to be taking your Z on the roads in Romania, believe me......I have worked there in the oil & gas biz.

Getting to it is the issue - the rest of the roads are not that well built and populated by some interesting 'vehicles'. If you careful and patient and drive in daylight could be a real adventure. Our resident expert on Romanian roads trips can advise better @Zeti

I would love to drive that, probably not so any other roads in Romania
How about this over the mountains from Soller and down this to the lovely cove on the north coast of Majorca.I've driven over there,but I've also rode over all the roads there on my bike including this one. Couldn't do it now

Yes, I confirm it's the Transfagarashan, a wonderful road which now can be connected with a brand new rehabilited mountain road: Transalpina. And both of them will cross the meridional Carpathians twice, taking you to Transylvania and Oltenia. In Oltenia you can see the three master works of Constantin Brancusi.
Few years ago we made very nice rally for old timers on this route. The mates from Z3 Germany have in objective, some time in the near future this adventure.
At any time I will be more than pleased and honored to lead you around. The whole summer weather is sunny and nice in the mountains, with over 20 deg C temperatures. But the accommodation must be planned for sure. I can send you films and pics, but not too many in order to not spoil the surprise!

It seems like I've driven roads like that in Jersey only without the mountains and in a lot of traffic. As if you were driving a lot but not getting anywhere. Maybe I was drinking?
Beside the scenery there are some more advantages: petrol is 1.1 eur/liter almost like beer ( as price, not as taste), accommodation around 50eur/night and food around 15 eur/person.
