Hi there, hope someone can help with this, I am trying to source some rear abs sensors online for my 2.8 z3 (2000)
But when I check vehicle compatibility on ebay or other web sites it gives the option of two engines for the 2.8 one is rated at 193hp 142kw and one is 194hp 143kw im not sure which mine is and the difference does seem to matter when I have tried both models for compatibility, barring that can anyone recommend a make/supplier current ones are BTW Ate, I have been looking at intermotor have used their parts in the past on my saab and they seem ok, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank Kev

I would never use eBay or website compatability checks.

You need to use realoem.com which is a copy of BMWs exploded diagrams and online lookup. Get the OEM part number from there.

Enter the last 7 digits of your VIN and go from there.

For something like a wheel speed sensor the listing on eBay will more often than not show the OEM part number for 3rd party parts.

Do a search with the OEM number including description in the search option.

Avoid cheap stuff if your budget allows. Delphi do decent wheel sensors and Meyle in general are very good although I’ve not used their wheel sensors. BMW wheel sensors are expensive. And rears are more than fronts for some reason.

I would expect to pay £35 ea or more for decent rear sensors.

The ABS sensors are most likely the same for facelift and prefacelift cars.
The different engine outputs will be for single vanos and twin vanos engines. As your car is a 2000 model it is almost certainly a twin vanos engine M52TUB28
