Evening

Looking at some new fluids for the ole banger. We have 1 green bar remaining on the service light and the oil level is running low due to my sump leak.

I am planning on adding some ‘slick 50’ engine oil additive to hopefully coat the internals in light of the sump bleed. I think it’s probably wise to baste it in lube.

Any recommendations for diff oil, gearbox, engine additives and leak sealer for the now 125k mile banger?

Mine is a 97 2.8i - I know different diffs take different oils.

slick 50, now thats a product i havnt seen in 20 plus years.... i assume its still available.

i buy millers oil direct from opi oils, great company and know their stuff, you can even talk to a real person who knows oil, not just how to sell it.

What's the preferred grade of diff oil? All my other cars use EP90 (worn ones use EP140!) but what's best for my Z3?

It is indeed. Opted for some liquimoly motor protect. Same principle, coat the inside with a film of anti friction oils.
