This sounds really great. A couple of questions to help with setting up a system

- What sort of current is the system drawing on the battery charger?

- What sort of concentration of cleaning chemical are you using?

Where's the brown sludge going, then? Down the sink?:wideyed: Interesting stuff, may have to try it myself sometime soon.

Quick edit.

Just sat through the first video, definitely have to give it a try. Now where will I find some rusty car parts?

can you get a car sized version? just drive it in overnight and it comes out sparkly in the morning.....
That is not such a crazy idea, we do some classic restorations and most come in as a bare shell, if you where to submerge the lower half it would guarantee you get the hidden rust

So, here'e the sacrificial brake disc that I've been using. Completely pitted away - this brake disc was fairly clean at the beginning of the process with minimal corrosion and no pitting.

The beam is better than what it was originally but as it doesn't remove paint or any other coating, I've still got this stupid rubber coating on the surface that I want to get rid off if at all possible - barrell was too small to get the entire beam in, so did half then flipped it over, still couldn't get the propshaft tunnel submerged in the solution

I used a handle of an from an old paint bucket to hook around the brake disc. Got so corroded that it just broke in the middle.

Anyway here are some pictures of the beam post eloctrolysis, will still need some work before applying any paint. But significantly better than it was.

Are you doing this in a well-ventilated area, just been reading that the by product of this is hydrogen.

Which can be a touch dangerous
