Far from expert but perhaps take the door card off to see what's going on with the mechanism and or runners?

Agree something sticking you need the door card off for a look. BE CAREFUL IF SIDE AIRBAG EQUIPPED.

It may just want resetting. If my memory serves me correctly send the window down then hold the button down for 5 seconds. Send it up and do the same. May work may not but worth a shot. Oh and welcome aboard!

And when you've done that, apply some silicone spray to the rubber slides and seals too.

yes they can be reset, but if the window is coming down while your pressing up then it is designed to come down if it encounters resistance, like for instance you had your hand in the way. its a safety feature fitted to most cars with electric windows, basically once the resistance rises above a given amount in the electrical circuit it reverses the current usually via an internal switch.

Hence, the silicone spray!

Hi @littlefella. Did you manage to fix this in the end?
no, i have never gotten around to looking at it, I will be making some changes to the door cards during the winter so it will be an ideal time to have a go at it.

That's cool. Just hope it's as simple as the plug fallen off the motor.
I had this issue when I bought my Z, just popped the plug back on and job done!
Hope yours is just as easy! ;)
