On the Summit on Christmas Day with my lad. Girls at home, no head for heights. Bit misty :(

I did the tower differently Andy.
I stood at the bottom and looked up.

Did you have to wear a space suit?:D

Lovely photo Mr D :p
Too high for me ;)

Nice one Andy. Not as scary as people think. Impressive though.

Have been up a few other tallish buildings too. Here's your itinerary to catch up =))

Rockefeller centre top observation deck 260m (850 feet)
Emily moor TV tower - 285m (900 feet) (Not open to the public)
Empire State building 102nd floor - 381m (1250 feet)
World Trade Centre 1 - 102nd floor 381m (1250 feet)
Burj Khalifa 148th floor - 555m (1820 feet).

Told my dad this and all he said is he worked further that all of those down underground

If I look carefully at the picture, I think your son is thinking "Don't worry Dad, I'll get you down safely." and you actually look like you're gritting your teeth and not really smiling. Just out of frame, your son is desprately trying to release your death grip on the railing so he can help you down. Don't you just LOVE heights?...............................Frankie

'Twas cold :arghh:

Last time I went there some muppet caused alarm and despondency by attempting to climb up the tower on the outside.:wideyed: Don't know what the outcome was, went away due to the amount of French plod arriving and getting excited. They've all got guns, and I have an allergy to them.

They've all got guns

Same over here but they tend to shoot each other ...
Police mans gun went off when he got out of the police car and shot colleague in the legs while he was still sat in the drivers seat in the patrol car in Rotterdam.
Bullet went through both legs and excited via the drivers door.

And that, said the ex-soldier, is why you should never let civilians have guns.

And Royal Air Force Fire fighters whose motto should be "We couldn't hit a barn door from two feet with a 25lb cannon, and proud of it" :D

And a guy who used to play darts at the Swan said he "Couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo" , whatever that means.

Tony.
