No I think he got fed up with Mike brewer riding round all day , trying to find parts ,and him takin most off the credit , good luck ed your a clever man, but please leave the short t shirt ,long sleeve t shirt dual combo there at wheeler at dealers HQ, and lock Mike in the toilets for good measure!
 
The entertainment luvvies decided they wanted change but Ed knows what the car nuts want to see. I'd doesn't matter if he jumped or was pushed for maintaining that position, he made the decision for the highest of motives. Good on you Ed. it's his research and skills that constantly bought new stuff to the program.
I don't think Discovery had the right people on their viewing panels - their advertisers will lose considerable pairs of eyes because they've got it wrong. Should have learnt from the Beeb.
 
Fair play to Edd as the quantity of workshop content has definitely reduced with new format from the American production company in the latest series set in the States and he correctly thinks that's the most important part of the show. He had the guts to speak out and quit. :thumbsup:

I like Ant Anstead, his replacement, from his shows with Philip Glenister "For the love of cars", be interesting to see how Series 14 of WD is viewed.
 
"For the Love of Cars" never did it for me, mainly owing to luvvie Glennister. I think the Wheeler Dealer format has evolved to the point where I now find it annoying. Not Ed I hasten to add, more the prices all being quoted in dollars, Mike getting fatter weekly, and the general rubbish "what you done Ed I left it with you are you have not done anything! Oh yes I have Mike"...and so on. There has got to be an opening here for Ed to have his own show for the likes of us genuine car fans?
