Hello. I'm Ed Yco (pronounced Eeko). I live in Marietta, Georgia. I have a large extended family, including several great-grandchildren. I used to teach jujitsu and play various musical instruments with a wind symphony, a big jazz band, a German polka band, and occasionally with a bluegrass band. My professional career was in computers.
I wanted an exotic car I could afford and bought a used 2008 Z4 M Roadster in 2017 ( space gray color), so I've had the car for a few years. I love the power and the way it handles. Right after I bought it, I did a short road trip to South Carolina to see the full eclipse of the sun.
I've spent more than I expected on repairing the convertible top and hydraulic hinges, Something I didn't want to tackle myself. Some work I did myself include replacing the splash guard, headlight, middle stop light assembly, parking light bulb, and O2 sensor. I try to do some mechanical work myself if it's not too difficult or complicated. I also have a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT that I bought new in 1969 when I lived in San Jose, CA. That's easy enough to work on, and I've done a lot of mechanical and electrical work on it myself.
My latest project is the Z4 M passenger sport seat that is stuck in full recline position. I bought a seat frame with motors and am trying to find a video or manual that shows how to move the old parts over to the frame. If anyone has suggestions, I appreciate any guidance.
