My ECU or DME has a fault. It is not communicating with number 5 cylinder for some reason. Can anyone tell me how to remove the unit and where you would advise sending it for repair

Do you mean it's not firing the injector or the spark plug? Before spending money, what diagnostic process has led you to a faulty DME?

Spark plug not firing. Coil pack replaced as the existing one melted. Garage traced fault to the DME not sending a signal
