Ebay let-off

I had a real let off earlier today.
I saw a parts cleaner on Ebay, in great condition at a good price in Whitchurch ( collection only) so put a last minute bid and won it.

Paid by paypal and got an email from the seller saying about collection.........
It was now that I realised that what I thought was Whitchurch near Basingstoke, Hampshire about an hour away, in fact it was Whitchurch Shropshire which is about a 400 mile round trip..........oh f***!

After a couple of emails to the seller , he was really good about it and did a refund straight away Accepting that it was a genuine error.

In future I will check !!!!!

I sold a roof rack on ebay, the seller called me struggling to find the garage.

I was in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

He was driving round St Ives down south West.

Easy mistake.

Thank you very much for the offer @Lazzzydog , but the refund has been actioned now, and possibly the unit could well have been sold to one of the other bidders.

Plus, since getting the refund......I have found a smaller bench version (new) that has free postage.
