If it changes what comes out of your pocket Mick, it's okay with me.;)

Tony.

We've got a place over Porthmadog that's generally cheaper than ECP, even with their discounts, and they deliver, too. Saves going all the way to Bangor, and that's time worth saving. May only be 30 miles each way, but that'll be a Welsh 30 miles, somewhat further than your English ones. Something to do with all them little mountainy things in the way. Nice drive if you're interested in geology, it's extinct volcanoes most of the way, but a pita if you just want a couple of bits for a car.

Fair comment mate  To be honest these "Discounts" don't really interest me being in the "Trade" but for some folks it's worth having.

If only .......................... =))=))

Get in quick with this one, the Sale ends soon,
and there wont be another Sale until immediately after this sale has finished....

or you could forget you have left something in your basket and they will email you a 35% discount after this code has ended...

Of course it is genuine because the higher price has been in place for 45 seconds at another store in the back of nowhere.

I actually bought discs and pads all round about Xmas , they were the best price I could find but that week ---- it was 50%

I called ECP the other day for a trade sale, I wanted a radiator for the 2.8, quoted £96 + VAT, I told a little white lie and said he was a mile out as I had been quoted £85 inc VAT, he paused for a moment and then matched it :D

I just paid £117 for my new rad

You all use the internet, so use the internet.

It's good to know that there may be an additional discount to be had after Quidco, TopCashBack, VoucherCodes, eBay (Lowest Price inc p+p) and Google have been trawled using every manufacturer's part number you can find for the part, but I would never use just one store.

I've just fitted a new water pump. The last time I fitted one (2010), it was very difficult to find one, and I ended up paying more than £100. BMW wanted £500.

but broadband has made searching the internet much faster...

BMW part number 11511405720
Remanufactured BMW part number 11511406650 (no longer available)

Searched Google for each. The 720 came in at around £80 - £200. The 650 came up with £50 - £200.

eBay - 720 cheapest was £62.54 (Meyle 313 220 0007) and they told me the alternative part numbers...

After a not very long search, I found an FAI AutoParts : WP6436 being sold on eBay (brand new, surplus stock) for £27.95.

I used Quidco to get 1% cashback (every little helps!!)

I now have a new water pump fitted for less than £30 that would have cost quite a bit more at EuroCarParts (if they had it - which they don't).

Moral of the story - Shop around - you can save a small fortune:).

Good to know that cynicism isn't dead.:) And the Bangor store probably is the store in the back of nowhere. Do they really think that no-one's going to notice that they're having a sale every week?
