Oh dear, Frankie, that really looked bad, you have to be so careful nowadays! What dire consequences from what should have been a happy family occasion!

Seems odd that only a little while ago you were all covered in snow!!!

That is why, after The Great Fire of London in 1666, we build our homes out of brick.......

In 1666 tee-pees and log huts or soddies were the norm here. Bricks were what you crapped out every day.
When we used to make the trip to visit my redneck relatives in MO. for American Thanksgiving there wasn't a year went by without a lot of fires and death from deep frying turkey. Usually started by placing a wet bird into bubbling oil heated by open flame. Splashed up the walls onto the roof and took out neighbours on all sides. Turkey's getting even on Thanksgiving Day in America.
So, there are your lessons on Canada and the USA for this week and I didn't mention snow once. JIM

SWho'd have thought that the meaning of 'Tipples' would lead to abbreviations of the states of America!!! Frankie & Oldcarman. Talk about Chinese whispers!

Hi M&S I think if you go back it's Hard Top that's at the wheel when things go off the rails. If only he'd studies Canada and USA when he had the chance we wouldn't find the need to provide him with the facts, just the facts!! Test coming to his neighbourhood soon, so hit the books HT and stay away from those tipples. JIM

I used to love it when I was working on the cruise ship and we'd stop somewhere for a tour and the displays would have push buttons to play a recorded message about what you were looking at. There were flags next to all the buttons so you could find your country by flag, press the button and get the dialogue in your language. All the Americans would look for the American flag, not find it and say to the person they were with: " There's no English", never thinking to look for the flag from England.
