E46 Camshaft sensors

Ran diagnostics on mates E46 325ti today, he has a fault, Camshaft sensor Bank 1 no signal.
As there are two sensors fitted and they are different, one has a wire and socket attached, the other is just a sensor with a socket on it.
Question is which is Bank 1 and which is Bank 2?
Items 5 and 18 in diagram

Bank one is the inlet cam sensor. #18 in the diagram, the one with the wire and socket.

Thanks Murray, was thinking Bank 1 would be inlet Bank 2 Exhaust side, just needed to confirm before I sent mate to spend his money!!

Pretty much the same on my Z3 2.0.
