E36 v z3 (e37) under bonnet - how similar

Hi guys
How similar are e36 v z3 (e37) front ends .
Would a front strut brace from a e36 6 cylinder fit a z3 6 cylinder. I know front track is very similar clearly same engines. Does anyone really know, don’t really want guesses.

From what I’ve just checked they are different.

The Z3 is and E36? Coupe is E37 I modified a front strut brace for a 3 series and made it fit on my 2000 Z3. Clearance between top of engine and underside of bonnet was the issue.

Was it difficult to do? I see a lot of strut braces for e36 a lot cheaper than z3, and nicer looking designs.

Which was why I went that route. I’ll dig some pictures out later David. Dead easy, just a little time consuming is all.
