i dont mind helping to sort out a gathering.if any one would like to lend a hand. :ymhug:
as i have no previous experience of whats required

Mick,

That's great news. Don't worry we won't leave you on your own organising! There are plenty of us on here who will advise you with the planning.

I'll change the first post to be owned by you so you can update it with a list of arrangements, dates, who's coming etc.

First thing for you I guess is to confirm the date! You will need to have speak to Duxford about having a group parking area. I'm trying to remember who organised it this year.

Next is usually arranging a meeting point outside or inside Duxford where people can assemble.

Then keep pestering people to come and join in

We have had a few meets at Duxford.

There is a good pub in the village of Duxford (John Barleycorn) where we can meet.

They do good breakfasts and pub meals.

The pub has a reasonable size car park as well.

The duxford car shows are great.. Was even some ford mondeo's last time.. :-j

Yes Mick, have a word with Bazza (Zedster4) as he usually organises it, as he also is an active BMWCC member and lives close to Duxford,

first things first barry i would be only to gratefull for you help and advice :ymhug:
i have spoken to duxford today and the date is the 5th of may.
they are going to put an application from in the post to return.
the only thing she asked was a rough idea of how many spaces we will need.
so how many went last year???? .
and will we be taking a banner and gazebos???
so any advice shout up

Hi Mike,

No problem with helping. The form is relatively easy to complete and if you put down it's a Zroadster.Org event Victoria should know all about us, I've spoken to her on many occasions. I have a .Org banner and we will have liability insurance for the 5th, so no problems there. The main thing your need to know is how many cars are likely to attend, they need to know so space can be allocated. On average we manged about 10 cars, over the two events May and August, but this year you may get more but obviously it depends on the response you get.

Once you receive the form just fill in the details and send it back, but if you need some help just shout.

You can put me down for this one mate Just edit you first post with the names of the people who have responded to the event.

Yes Mick, very homely pub, an old haunt for the fighter pilots, the guest rooms are named after the most notorious aces,

Menu is quite good too. :-bd
