Hi Guy's,

Is anybody going to attend this years Duxford air museum car show on the 6th May? I didn't manage to go to last years May event but I did go to one later in the year. Apparently the May event is quite large and is organized by the UK BMWCC. It's a very good venue, you pay a reduced entrance price if your displaying your car and then have access to the air museum as well, it's well worth the price!

Hello zedster4 i'm going to think about this one, i would like to get about this year
and this trip would be about a 4 hour drive for me but i like the time of year its held.
Its a strong maybe at the moment keep your thread updated.

Just found this on the BMWCCGB site. This comes under the Central region of the club.

Sun May 6th - Duxford Air Museum Spring Car Show. We have space for 150 BMW/Alpina cars at our first big event of the year, including Concours for both Central Region and East Anglia (tbc). Entrance cost (tbc but £10 per adult expected) includes admission to all all six air museums, and the Land Museum to keep the family busy all day.

Count us in, we were unable to make it last year, should be a packed day if you want to see everything and good value too, compared to the normal price. :-bd

Does it mean from your post, Gazza, that they only want to display Alpina BMWs :-\

You should start a running list, Zedster4 and PM the TEAC. Could be our May Cruise, do you think. :-bd

That's a good one. Make sure you have some good discs the standard Ms faded after about 3 laps

I don't know the name of the curves but down hill toward the end of the lap with some kinks in it great fun when you get it right. Stopping at the bottom is interesting.

I have no idea but I shall start there then do Swansea and then shoot up for cadwell park. It should be a great week. If a little hectic. I look forward to meeting all sorts of people this year! For me it is just looking great

He is aware that Berni Howell, who is sadly no longer with us, invited non club members last year so he is going to check with HQ and get back to me later on.

so is is not all right if we are BMWCC members as well? if so I am sorted and for £40 with the offer it has to be worthwhile doesn't it?

As well as that I thought the Zregister of which we are part is affiliated to the BMWCC after all it was them that steered me towards the Zregister and hence Zroadster initially .net then .org. "one" has to wonder if they are disappearing up their proverbial's or are they getting anally retentive? ) :-j

Just received this from Steve Miller, general manager BMW car club GB.

I quote " Hi Barry,

We are currently offering zroadster.org members a discount off Club membership. We are waiving the normal £5 joining fee and giving 13 months membership for the price of 12!. You’ll already see some positive feedback about the Club on your forum."

So, it looks like you will need to be club members! Just to add to this, I really think it's worth joining as my membership paid for itself 5 times over with various discounts at BMW dealerships.

I've booked but am not a member of the BMW club so will not be going into the arena/display area (if there is such a thing) but will piling into the general carpark with the rank and file. :-??
Just wondered if any other Zorg folk are in same position? Maybe we could meet up and take over a bit of the carpark for ourselves? :-bd
