Just read the threads about this cruise to find out what it is actually about - thought there was some BMW meeting in Holland just like the Zedfest 2+-22 July at Silverstone Circuit...
What are the plans for the cruise more specifically - I mean when we're all in Holand??
Do you Hardtop aka Mike have any ideas of prices for the hotel - webbsite says nothing except for bing "under construction" - (website hopefully) )

Hi Ferdinand, no, its nothing like Zedfest, just a cruise for any thing BMW related. (I can understand you thinking other wise, with me giving it the title DNHC)..... :ymblushing:
There is some interest from the Dutch Z forum and I have been asked to post a link on the BMW 2002 forum (a colleague of mine has two) and there could be a bike or two as well.
It will just be a casual meet, turn up, go for a drive and have some fun.
As for the Hotel....Motel....Truck Stop....Greasy Spoon) ....the owner is a friend of mine and I will get as much discount as possible, depending on numbers staying and he is not expensive to start with.
So, if you fancy a drive down from Denmark to The Netherlands, you are more than welcome..... :-bd

HT, where are you proposing to meet up?
Also been looking at ferries. P&O still not showing any offers for September yet.
Also looked at the crossing from Newcastle to IJmuiden, this will cost £219 aprox, this includes an inside berth for two people.
So we have three options to get across the water.
1) Wait until next month and see if P&O have any offers on from Hull to Rotterdam. (£169 at the moment)
2) Leave Newcastle on Friday Evening to IJmuiden £219 one way.
3) Run down to Dover on Friday Catching the Dunkirk mid afternoon ferry, stopping on Friday Night somewhere not to far from meeting place( HT to Advise?). Returning Sunday Afternoon Dunkirk Ferry, cost of this is £58 return. (£29 Each Way)
Number 3 looks favourite to me, and I think I will be doing this route (unless P&O come on with some good offers)

I've just priced Newcastle-Amsterdam and it's coming out at a total of £396 return.
Hull-Rotterdam was £248 last time I looked. That's a lot of money just for a weekend - especially as beer isn't included 8-|

Although Dover may be cheap, it's a 300+ mile drive for us which is a killer on the way home

Dont lose heart yet, cmon P&O get them 2 for 1 prices going that you had last year on your mini cruises.
Hi TaffZee, I would suggest meeting up at the stop over, as there might be confusion caused if we try to meet up some place down the road?
I can understand people getting cold feet, looking at the prices Titan is quoting, so it would be great to know who is 100% on this.

Much to my regret I am going to have to pull out of this event! I have an exam for my OU course on the Saturday and having just submitted a substandard piece of work I am going to have to pull my socks up as well.

Sitting here with a nice glass of wine and my wonderfull girlfriend :-* - and we're trying to make further holidayplans .... we're going to Alsace with arrival in Mittelwihr on the 24.09.2012 in the evening (approx. 700 km). 
So here goes my question: How many are we now - when are we meeting and what are the plans?'
My plan was/is to depart from Denmark friday 21.09.2012 - and arrive at the "Greasy Spoon" later that day ( if the weather, the Almighty and the car allows it though...)
Planning on picking up my girlfriend af Sciphol Airport in Amsterdam on sunday the 23.09.2012 at 19.35....
So please tell me what you / we know by now - so I can make arrangements / plan her flight etc
