Sad, such a great actor 
He played a fantastic Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood prince of thieves. Great actor, Die hard 2 was also a favourite of mine.

I hadn't realised by name who he was, then I looked him up, "professor Snape". Didn't know he was ill. This cancer thing keeps rearing it's head, such an evil illness.
Very sad, another one gone. Well they say deaths come in threes so that's Ed Stewart, David Bowie and now Alan Rickman. Should be OK for a few weeks now.
That's four Dave. A big figure in the rock world "lemmy" from motorhead was diagnosed on boxing day and died two days later. Not a big figure to many on here I'm sure but he was friends with my brothers band and met him on several occasions. Only 70.
