Just as pitted as that anti-roll bar clamp Rob, would you not buy new? Personally I would brush paint that not spray it.

Tony.

The rears are about £10 ea. The fronts are about £30 ea. So it's more viable on the rear. But it would be another £20 spent and I've sunk a lot of money into this rear end rebuild and I have to stop somewhere. It's just another component in the Deox bucket and had about 10 mins of effort to scrape the nasty bits off. So not much effort required really.

I'm not worried about the pitting. It's not as deep as the ARB bracket and was there before the rust was removed with no concerns over integrity.

Sorry, I can't see the difference mate. The A/R clamp pitting was also there before the rust was removed surely? Why would you have any concern over the integrity of those parts over some slight pitting?

I don't have any concerns over reusing either. But the ARB bracket had much deeper pitting maybe you can't see and at £4 to replace wasn't worth the effort painting.
