I have started this thread so as not to clog Pgunters Thread up.
On the Saturday when we reach Calais me and Maurice and our good ladies are taking a more scenic route to the Hotel in Slenaeken, rather than just doing the more direct Motorway Drive once we have made the crossing. If anyone wants to join us then please let me know.
This is the route we are planning on taking

I can make this available as either Itn or Gpx file for those who have a Itinerary Planning Satnav

Maurice

As long as is no hurry (is holiday!), it's shame to burn the gas on the motorway, when an alternative scenic road is possible!
I'll be with you , but I'm coming from opposite direction...!;)

Dan you will have to let me know where we can meet up ? for the drive in

I've done the motorway route it's boring,I'm up for a detour .we have a sat nav but I don't really know how to use it. It's one to them that you speak to and it doesn't understand me,I've tried being nice to her but she just doesn't listen, she's very wilful I don't mind as a rule but this is just plain rude :(

Brian Zedwheels i have added you to the list

The last time I shouted at my sat nav
She told me where to go !!!!!?

Brian we will tuck you up between us so he does not slow you down

Whats the best for our trip, Cash euros, put euros onto a card or use our standard credit card to pay for the hotels and fuel ect.?

When we go to Europe we take Euro's and just use our debit card. I'm with Lloyds Bank and charges are minimal

I will probably do same Jack, cash is king as they say! I have a LLoyds credit card and can settle that when I get home!

I have a cash passport Pre loaded with Euros and Swiss Francs for the Hotels and euro cash for spending
