A reflective thread so bear with;

At Tonys Z-Shed catch up last month, while sorting my AT fluid change I got chatting briefly to Dave (@Mint) about his cracking Avus Z3... 198k miles. His view was drive it, enjoy it!

Made me think twice, I'd usually take the Touring or the missus motor, but today I too the Z4 for a run to work, 45 odd miles one way of dual carriageway and twisty backroads to Ollerton.

SO glad I did. Top down, car behaves so well now everything is sorted on it: a total blast.

And to top it all, got a flash from a flippin' Z8!!! Whoever that was you made my day!!!

Long story told short- life is too short, take the roadster

;)

My Z4 is/was my daily Stuart, about the only thing I liked about going to work.

My Z4 is/was my daily drive Stuart, about the only thing I liked about going to work in the end. Z8, a rare beast round here.

Tony.

Makes a work day much better doesn’t it?

There's 2 types of Zed owners, those that polish them and those that drive them :whistle:=))

I'm in he third group, 90% driving, 10% polishing, and I used to use mine to go to work............that was a long time ago now;)

So, I'm not the only one that noticed?
Somewhat off-topic, I know, but I went over to Bangor today in the lovely sunshine, was surprised to see just how many convertibles are driving about with the roof UP. WTF, I believe the young people might say.

As we are old, we always say the roof must be broken;)

I must be the 3rd type then as I neither rarely polish it or drive it. =))=))=)) Even though it gets loads of my attention.
Finding the time to get things done on it takes up a lot of the cleaning and driving time, then there’s the weather even though it’s a tin top and doesn’t mind it, but it does make it really dirty when it’s wet. Think that’s why I rarely take it out especially when I’ve cleaned it.@Nodzed.

We refer to them as Roof up w******s

I’m of the 4th type, its my car and I’ll decide how I use it no matter who says different. Last time I checked, its not against the law to NOT use your car if you choose not too. If its your daily driver, good for you enjoy it. If you want to drive with the roof up, so be it, who are any of us to judge? If you want to spend a few hours cleaning your car, great.
I can’t understand special interest groups that have to judge others based on their personal preference. Its the same with bikes, boats, planes, fishing etc etc🤷🏻‍♂️
