Write Up Drive Dads Car (Great British Car Journey)

Great day out, a lot to see at the 'British Car Museum' which was an 'All our yesterdays' experience for most of us.Good company of course, but we ran into a number of rain and even hail showers during the afternoon drive.
What a very enjoyable day even the changeable Derbyshire weather couldn't spoil the day.
The Museum definitely worth a trip catering needs some work though.
Our line up
Not a Zed but something a bit special (Actually has the Z3 M44 Engine installed) so almost a Zed
I had one of these along long time ago, same colour Daytona Yellow
Really do like old Granada's especially the coupe
Nice Esprit
Modern day equivalent to the Lotus
Nice line up of Triumph's
History of British motoring wouldn't be complete without a Moggy
After the Museum we had a great drive out thanks to Ken for the great tour of the Peaks great scenery and great roads perfect.
Just one picture from me the line up at Blue John caves

Excellent trip out today - well done @Paul Rice & @Z Victor 1 for organising.
Thats a destination I've wanted to visit for a while, now I know its well worth the trip, I might have to arrange another mooch one of these days. Met some more faces old and new, nice row of Z's (and a VERY attractive 2002), and got to see some very well presented old British cars.
And thereafter a run around some parts of the Peaks I haven't seen before. The odd shower (okay, hail at one point) didnt deter - just practice for putting the roof up and down at 20mph (where appropriate!). Peeled off for Strines before the last stop, sorry about that, looks good !
I do have some photographs, I'll see if I can strip them out into a couple of batches . . . . gimme a sec . . . .

Great British Car Journey - external exhibits . . . these were a couple of the cars being used for the Drive Dads Car bit - there were more. Yes I did get to drive the 1600 Ford Capri. No it didnt have any power steering. Yes it had a hairline throttle (nought to 2,500 rpm in an instant). Yes I did master it by lap 2. Yes it was absolutely brilliant. Yes I'm glad I did it. Yes I would recommend it. Yes I enjoyed getting back in to the E89 . . .
Glad I've never been I would be accused of plagiarism. Ha, ha. Great pictures Alex, and Paul and Ken.

Thanks to Paul and Victor for arranging this event, had a great time. Great to see everyone. Brought back some good memories seeing the 70s and 80s cars. took a few pics also
