So...in the garage today.
Full service, brake & diff fluid change and 4 new springs.

Called this afternoon to say suspension is fine & no need for new shockers or anything else- slightly surprised as looking underneath, it all looks original and rusted solid.
Anyway they did say it needs a new diff bush, so will get her back tomorrow after that.

Definitely do the shocks you'll regret if you dont, but if your purse will stretch you can do better than OEM

If your car has been driven any milage with broken springs surely the shocks have been tortured and should be changed. How well do you know the garage you used?? JIM
