Passenger door would take unlock.
When I pull the handle from inside the lock pin lifts up but as I let go it goes back down.
Could it just be linkage?
Only way I guess is to take off the door card but I don't have time till I have a week off work on the 19th.
Car is looking lovely today though in the glorious sunderland sun

Mine does this and it seems it is down to the bowden cables being affected by the Sun/heat, i have bought the cables from BMW for less than £20 but the problem is changing them, one is easy the other not so. I don't take passengers very often so haven't bothered with it lol.

MIne is Z4 though.....

That's what happened on my Z3 as the actuated started to pack in Dave.

Yeah it has to be on its way out, it randomly started working again Sunday evening so maybe a connection issue? The Mrs spent the weekend climbing out the car haha

Mine just got worse and worse until it totally packed in. Not easy to get the door card of if it fails in the locked position mate.

IT'S BACK! Yeyyy...
Passenger door actuator replaced, all good for a few weeks. Now the problem is back. So either 2 bad actuators or an issue elsewhere.

One thing I've noticed is when the doors are locked, the pin on Driver side is flush, whereas the passenger side is 3mm up, but then when unlocked the passenger one is still a bit higher so doubt that's got anything to do with it..

I would have said it may be the chrome pin does it spin ? Ie threaded it may just not be wound on the same amount and i suppose the same even if its push fit?

Yeah probably that. It doesn't really matter about that. Just the locking issue.
I've just locked and unlocked the car 15 times and worked every time. Then went to go inside and wouldn't lock. Then did. Hmph

Did you lubricate the latch piece inside the door while you had the door card off Davy? Solenoids usually fail as they try to overcome the friction of a latch which is in need of lubrication. A spray grease aerosol is ideal. Also while in there I'd do the window regulator rollers and guides

I didn't Tony bur as soon as the last screw was on I thought I should have haha typical. I'll give it a squirt when I get some time.

I like it how low your rear wheels are:thumbsup: Do they hit your fender inside? How low did you go?
It depends, not with me in the car but occasionally when there's another man in passenger side. It's dropped about 40mm I think.
