I have a couple of broken clips to replace. What's the best way to remove a broken clip from the card without risking ripping plastic base away from the card?

What's the best way to get the new clips in?

They just slide out. The black plastic has a U shaped hole in it.

Just worked out the base of the clip is crescent shaped so they turn and lock in. They don't slide out unfortunately.

Must be the Audi ones that slide but I knew they come out easily as I had to replace some of ours a while back.

If I remember rightly I've seen two types of cards.

With one of my zeds, which I've now sold, the mounting points for the clips had a groove cut into them which would allow you to slide clips in and out making it very easy to replace the clips.

On my own zed I don't have these cut outs meaning that swapping clips is a pita.

Could never work out if someone had cut the groove to allow for easier clip removal in the other door cards I have.

I just use a duck nose plier and pull vertically making the pull very quick so that I don't rip the mounting point off.

It's common for the clips to break on removal so get a set of spare ones, very cheap on ebay.

Mounting points for the clips are also easy to rip off so have some plastic weld to hand in case it happens.
