A 2003 Z4 has been converted to remove run-flats. I now am putting into the trunk a jack, wrench, tow eye, and misc. tools in case of a flat. Does anyone know where I can find a new or used DONUT tire mounted on a plain steel rim? Bolting on the wheel is to be the standard 5X120. Actual tires are running 18 inches but as I see it the DONUT could be 16, 17 18 inches without worry, Thanks.

Most of us simply carry a tyre repair/inflator canister and a little compressor the same as most new cars these days.

Thanks for the recommendation. I assume the tyre/inflator is without some added sealant as some are prepared. I just received a portable inflator for a Christmas present, tested it and works great. I'll let the DONUT idea fade now.

Depending on the size of tyre you’re running you need to check the capacity of the tin of sealant to make sure it is enough.

I just bought my tire and rim from a USA used parts depot. (90.00$) American. With shipping and handling, $153.00 total. Plus importation ,customs and taxes, total = $71.00 That equals (153.00 plus 71.00) $224.00. Ouch. Won't do that again! And when I want to remove the tire in an emergency case the wheel (flat Tire) will not fit in the trunk to take it to a garage.
I wasn't too smart. Hope I get a flat only in my garage. Oh I also had to buy a jack!!!
