Sean I feel for you mate. I'd be gutted and although I'm a thoroughly nice chap I would not be held responsible for my actions should I catch someone in the act! This country gets worse year on year. We are no longer a country to be proud of but a country full of bone idle drug taking thugs. I realise this does not count for everyone but s*** is happening more and more.
Mate of mine pulled into our local fuel station on Saturday evening and was instantly attacked by a smack head. There was a fight and the druggie ended up on the floor. My mate phoned the police not to report it but to cover his back incase the druggie reported him! Hope you get it sorted soon mate.
 
Sorry to hear about your misfortune @Sean d - I too hate leaving the car parked up or in a car park - between supermarket dents and thugs loitering around with nothing constructive to do we have to be extra careful with or without a car.

I recently heard on the news locally - three men jumped out of a car and seriously assaulted two youths with hammers walking home from a night out - whether the attack was drugs / gang related I don't know. What makes a person even think about using such weapons to attack another? Sorry to go off topic slightly!

Not so sure that makes a difference to these types of crimes Mike as there are no Police around when they are committed. Not sure that our "social criminal underclass" are any worse or more prevalent by head of population that most other Countries.
 
I had someone just snap the aerial off mine when parked up outside Halfords, new antenna base and grommets, £100+.
 
Recipe for law and order according to me!

Ingredients:
Take offender x 1
Take double barrel shotgun (loaded) x 1

Method:
Place both barrels into offenders mouth
Make sure they are horizontal to the ground (makes death occur slower)
Pull both triggers
Stand back and accept the applause
Job done

Sorry Sean, can't really add to what's already been said. Mindless morons...its a catch 22 isn't it, you park well out of the way to avoid someone clobbering your panels opening doors and then you can end up being further away from cctv or from anyone to witness the vandalism.:(

What worries me is that these losers can't comprehend that we have worked hard to own these cars, we cherish them in most cases. Yet generally they have not worked for anything in their life, they expect it all to be given to them. We choose to save our money and spend it on these cars, yes I would beat the s--t out of you if I caught you damaging my Zed.
 
Anyone convicted of vandalism should have one of their little fingers chopped off. ( Other punishments are available)

I'm stressed all the time when I leave the car outside. I usually try to cover it up and additionally , I place underneath the cover my own made "magnetic rubber side protection ".
But I still can't escape dents...:mad:
My wife always says our car is the only one covered in the parking lot...:whistle:
The reasons are careless and jealousy.
When traveling abroad, in the parkings, most of the cars are rented cars, so people don't care about the others...
And jealousy... These days I heard a funny word : " Capitalists! ". It's what a lady, same age with us, was saying to her husband and pointing toward us and our Zed! The funny fact is they were driving a 2016 car, that I estimated at about 17,000.00 EUR!
And another example: being well known as a motor head in my neighborhood, usually when I bring one of the car in the street there are loads of neighbours coming and asking about it and some times I loose half an hour on explanations except....for the Zed!:eek: When I take out the Zed nobody is asking nothing and try to look in another direction...:D
Isn't that jealousy?:( But...
I was once in a gas station and a 4 years old little girl stopped and staring at my Zed. When her mother came and tried to take her away , she said " Look mamy, it's the beautiful car i ever saw!":thumbsup::)
What can I say?
Children never lie!:)
...and we have to accept that we live in a jungle...
