Carrie and I was out in the Z today and stopped at Cleethorpes for a snack, when we got home I was milling around the Z and spotted 3 kick marks down the passenger side, most has polished out but one is deep and has probably gone through to the base coat, I hate leaving the car parked up as you know some f***ing scumbag is just waiting to damage your pride and joy.
 
I feel for you Sean, on a lot lesser thing, we parked in Marshall's Yard in Gainsborough this morning as we were only going to a couple of stores I was going to leave the top down, but, Shirl looked at my $150 sunglasses in the clip ion the driver's sun visor and she said to me, "Do you expect they will still be there when we come back?" :( It's a crap world we live in mate with some jealous to55ers about.

Mate i get zed anxiety every time I leave the car.
 
With you on this @Sean d, mine got done at night in a car park.
Car keyed all the the way round except for the hardtop, mother f***ers.
At least I was fully comp.
 
Me too mate, I get the feeling that when you park up and put your roof up you're inviting some T**T to come and damage your car just out of spite and jealousy. I hope you can repair your paintwork without too much cost and work mate.

That's a sad reflection on the world we live in Mike.:( But it's been happening for a very long time, a guy I used to work with back in the late 70's had a new Chrysler Alpine and where we worked we had to park on the road side near where Marshall's Yard is today and his car got keyed right down the side. Soon after my Capri was done, just the same and we suspected it was apprentices from the Marshalls works who were responsible, but we had no proof.;)

This is so bad. I, like all of the guys who have posted here am worried each time I park. I park miles away in supermarkets and sort of expect some damage to be done.
On a lighter but similar note, I've just had a rose and chilli plant pinched from my garden!!
What a world we live in.
 
We need a camera and recorder to keep track of the car when it's parked. Would have to be inside or would likely get nicked!

Good business opportunity here for someone?:thumbsup:

If these people had to work for their money they might have some respect for other people's property........ ;)

That's bang out of order mate! Don't suppose there were any CCTV cameras around to identify the pond life?
 
It is a sad reflection of the world today. No respect for others. Probably done by those who will be complaining seconds after their dole money fails to arrive with no thought as to who it is that pays for them to waste oxygen. :(
Hope you get it fixed ok.
 
My worst nightmare when I'm out in the Zed :( hate leaving it anywhere I cant see it ...... total ar*se holes :mad:
 
It's just sad mindless morons and of course it's not just cars that are affected. We live near an historic windmill which has been restored by volunteers, last week it was vandalised. A super adventure playground was erected in a park in Derby and that has been vandalised so much they are thinking of taking it all down. It's this kind of pointless vandalism that really is the hallmark of the complete moron. I can understand ,though not agree with, someone stealing something.There is something to be gained, but vandals - absolute 'w-nkers'.

I picked up a fresh car park ding on the Freelander last week. The trouble is that over the years cars have got bigger, but the spaces we put them in have stayed the same so that Mr NCP can make as much money as possible.
 
Hi , Before i bought a zed, I hired a z 3 and a Porsche for a day with another couple and the Porsche got all the wrong bad attention and thought the zed was given more respect .And a better car, but only my opinion.
So sorry to hear you have damage to your car .No consolation but imagine if it was a Porsche.!
We even had a mini nicked and pinched for spare parts while living in Uk.
Hope things improve and lots of good people out in the world ,better days ahead after all we drive convertibles because we hope for those better days .NOT so sure i would have this opinion if it had happened to me bep, bep ,beps,
 
One of the reasons I hate the Uk, although I'm sure it happens elsewhere. Even if they're caught the courts don't deal with it, usually a £50 fine plus costs, and that doesn't get paid as the type of person that does this is usually on benefits and has no hope of ever owning a nice car, hence the jealousy.
The police round here wouldn't even investigate, they now just give you a crime number over the phone for this type of crime, awful state of affairs, I no longer respect the people running the police force, it's run more like a business nowadays than a public service.

Does not happen all that often over here.
At the time I was living in a rundown little sea side town full of drug addicts and pish heads.
Most of them Polak's @Grumps......

I now live in the center of another town, never any problems here even though at the weekends the night life is nuts.
