Does anyone know of a trustworthy mechanic in Derbyshire area?

Got a few jobs I can't tackle myself and need a reliable mechanic for my Z3.

I'm based in Chesterfield but I'm more than willing to travel for the right mechanic.

Jobs that I need done are having the roof replaced and the vanos gasket replaced (last mechanic royalty fecked up the re-install process).

Any and all recommendations appreciated, but ideally someone that is known to the forum and has a proven track record.

James at BMWman in Heanor has built a good reputation as an independent specialist. I’ve not had to use him myself but I’ve had good feedback from friends who have.

I've heard good things about them too but last time I tried to contact them it took them a month to get back to me, and when I requested a quote on some work it took them another month. That's not the ideal turn around for me.

I use him all the time. Very knowledgeable and a true BMW fan. He is always full and very hard to get into
