Anyone with a face lift z3 do me a favour?

What's the height from the floor of the boot to the top of the rubber seal at the top? No need to lift the floor

Just looking for the difference between pre and post facelift.

The reason I asked is that i'm doing a fibreglass rebody and have a gap between original and new panels. It's not a problem. I can bridge the gap but was thinking it may be because my donor car is a pre facelift. Pre and post face lift rear wings etc are different.

But that isn't the problem after all.

The inner structure should be the same on both cars, only the outer skins were different iirc

That shouldn't make a difference as for the height of the boot floor to top of the seal to be a different height between pre and post face-lift models the rear bodyshell would have to be different .

I have had a look on real oem
My 1999 pre face-lift 2.8 wide body
And my 1999 face-lift 1.9 both use the same bodyshell.
There does appear to be 2 shell numbers for the 1.9 pre face-lift my 97 m44 lists 2 one is the same at the 2 later cars doesn't specify what the difference is or when each one was fitted
My assumption is one could be the early pre 97 shell that didn’t have fittings for roll hoop fitment.

I was just curious about a gap between panels that nobody else has mentioned so I was wondering if it only affected me because of my pre face donor.

I wasn't convinced that was the reason but thought I'd ask
