1 hour 20 mins in and I've got one seat out and one seat runner seat bushes done. Slowly slowy catchy monkey! If I'm not done by midnight, bring Guinness and lots of it!=))

1 hour 20 already? I'd say you've already been on the Guiness

What condition were the originals bushes in?
Not my bag Gary, killing me but British Bulldog spirit. Shot to b*****y!

Your instructions are brill! Top man:thumbsup:

Mine were worse, well il guessing they were, because I didn't see any!

Took me and a friend quite a while, once the 1st is done the second is easy. The sanding part is the worst.

Connor.

Oh yes! Not sure what's being sanded the most, bushes or fingers! Tally ho:whistle:

I've hit a snag peeps! First seat done, all plugged in but only the motor on the passenger door side is moving back and forth? Any ideas please?:(

OK, took the seat back out and realised that the consol side passenger seat motor wasn't spinning as the flexible thread that goes into the kebab had come out with it. Next problem is the photo. The working slider is all the way back and the one that wasn't is as per the photo? Any ideas please ease @GazHyde or anybody?

Might sound daft but you haven't accidentally swapped over the kebabs have you as I think they have opposite threads so if put back in the wrong side they will drive in the opposite direction to one another.

Took them out one at a time. Think I may have sussed it. When I took the first one out the flexible thread that goes into the base came out with it (unlike the other one). Didn't realise it and when I put it back in it didn't sit home in the motor base. I'll strip it back tomorrow and try again and feed back. Many thanks for getting back to me.

After all that faffing around, seat one done in 15 mins. Thanks for the info and support peeps. Mclaren here I come:whistle:

I need to sort my slidy seats

Well done Andy and Jack as Andy has proven just about anyone can tackle this job despite what trepidation you may feel. I have helped hundreds of people do this repair with my bushes over the years and you have the full support of everyone one here to help you if you get into trouble so please do not get worried about tackling this job it really is an easy job you can do yourself.

I'll get it done when I've got a spare weekend I suppose.
I always used to do my own servicing and general repairs when I was a lad, but in recent years I've paid someone to do it for me.
However, since I've had the Zed, I've rekindled the urge to get me spanners out. I've fitted OEM roll hoops and swapped the boy racer exhaust for a cheap ebay special. I've put a mechless Alpine stereo in and changed the speakers. Had a hard top on and off a few times, lol

Luckily I haven't had to touch the engine or running gear yet.

And if you're done before midnight bring on the Guinness and lots of it to celebrate! Wish I could join you!! I too like the taste of the dark side!! JIM
