Yep. Its her car, her job to clean it. The last time she tried it was with a bucket of fairy dish soap and a yellow kitchen sponge.

Number plate is only clean because I got pulled for it not being visible. Shame the rozzers didn't tell me to clean my lights, surely it's more important to have clean lights rather than a clean number plate?!

Exactly mate, rozzers not interested if the car behind goes in the back of me because they didn't see my brake lights because they were so dirty. Going 100mph past a speed camera with a clean number plate and a letter drops straight through the post the following day.
TBF, the copper was very nice when he pulled me. I had nothing to clean it and went to wipe it with the sleeve of my jumper and he said don't do that, then gave me some water and tissues to do it. He never mentioned the illegal spacing, could have given me an on the spot fine, not many would let me go free.
I run legal plates now, as last time I got fined £100 for a tinted one! And they threatened to take it off me if I ever get pulled again. Annoys me as I'm prepared to pay the fine if I get pulled, it would be easy money for them but not if they take it away. So many people drive round with unsafe vehicles and don't indicate, cut people up etc but don't get punished. Mispace a letter on a plate though and they start rubbing their hands together.
