Oh the trauma Dave. If I was doing the Chrismas shopping it would be thus;

1. In, buy pigs in blankets and Guinnes
2. Go for a 3 hour drive
3. Return home and marvell in my Christmas shopping magnificence

4. Get thumped =))

You wanna eat at Christmas, I said, You wanna eat?=))

Tony.

I also have my Honda CB500X to run in mate, toys, toys everywhere. Think of all that washing, polishing and waxing :D

Oh, and gardening :(

Well then, providing Bella don't get mardy you could go shopping on the bike?....................... if you wanna eat;)

Drive to Tesco. Stop. Look. Then naff off to Hard Knott.......enjoy.

Tesco open every day except Wednesday so go to Tesco in the evening or when its raining, you know you have to its just a case of timing

No brainer. Top down, hit the road!! I avoid shopping at all costs, during Christmas season. Christmas Eve last minute shoppers at Macy's in NYC forever cured me of Christmas shopping...

Never bothered you before;) besides Andy likes to live dangerously =))
Yup :D Did mention that whilst I was gone it would be a perfect opportunity to get many Doris Chores done in peace :wideyed:

I’d skip the shopping in Tesco :p
All you men and children stay at home :)
It will be easier for us ladies to get it by ourselves ;)
And quicker too :)
I’m just dread going and parking my lovely Z in the car park :(
I can’t take Alan’s or my sons car because it will look like ......
I don’t mind theirs getting cars getting pranged :(

Clearly this hasn’t been thought through. Of course you need to play the 21st century husband. Tesco’s will be open early. You can do your part. That gives you chance to get out first light, drop the C-in-C off early doors at said establishment, then spend a few good hours making sure Bella is well sorted after the recent lay-up and maintenance, driving the lanes and tracks, drinking in the glorious Lake District scenery. Return to Tesco as it goes dark just in time to collect all the fantastic food and drink that’s going to be lovingly prepared for your enjoyment over the festive period. Job sorted.

You can do it all again Christmas Eve.

Tell us which ward you’re admitted to and we’ll bring grapes
