Firstly I had to remove the layers of rust, in the worse places it was 4-5mm thick, for this I used a windy chisel on low pressure the process leaves it looking like thisWhat tools / process did you use

Then I used a stone wheel, followed by various grinders and sanders plus wire wheels to get this
