Wicked. I have never seen a Mossie in the air. One day I hope to see one in the UK.

The Mossie is one of my all time favorites, It's great to see the good work going on in New Zealand. Perhaps one day we will see one in UK skies.

A pity they have blocked it, that was a good program, I have still got it on my HDD recorder.

my grandfather built mosquito fuselages during the war, in a furniture factory in Walthamstow!

my friends father flew them in Pathfinder operations over Germany.

I have yet to establish if my friends father flew one my grandfather helped to build!

Be careful, Its an aircraft, its like calling a ship a boat
Looks like just an old plane to me though... =))
Aircraft or aeroplane is correct, planes are used by wood workers. Boat is correct if it's a submarine, otherwise it's a ship, unless its very small then its a boat. English is a fine language!:)

Just loved that video @hard top The only comparison I can think of is like sticking am S54 into a plastic go kart... Two Merlins on a wooden airframe.. my fav plane of the Second World War.. No wonder when armed with rockets the enemy used to just run.

I was lucky enough to see one at Old Warden Aerodrome, The shuttleworth Collection. It must have been the last flying example in the UK. Saw it circling way way out from the field, new instantly it was a Mosquito. When it came in to do it's display it was awesome. Disappeared from view and then reappeared at low level over the trees at the end of the runway. What a glorious sound two Merlin engines make!

Aircraft - anything man-made that flies, aeroplane, helicopter, balloon, glider. "A craft of the Air."

Aeroplane - heavier than air machine with fixed wings providing lift

Airplane - an Americanism created by those who can't spell or cope with the Queens English, a bit like color!
