Well after 3 weeks of limbo after the Zed being stolen, the decision has been made.
The insurance company has made the decision to write it off…without the option to purchase the salvage.
I can purchase from the auction but I have been advised that they won’t insure it again anyway.
I had a grizzle, as one does, and had a conversation with the assessor whose decision it was to kill it off.
As we do, I’d loaded it up with a load of mods etc that were not included in the original insurance. After the chat, and advising that it was insured for the max that they’d cover it for, the assessor agreed to me taking of the bits that had been added.
They had the car delivered to home this afternoon and tonight the detango performed a few months ago, was reversed. All the LEDs that had been fitted now removed. The stereo will come out tomorrow and probably the 17” wheels and tyres will come off and the 16’s go back on.
With out the assistance and conversation had with the assessor I’d never had known I could get my bits off of it and that they’d deliver and the collect the car when I’m done.
Then the pain begins in trying to find the replacement.
