On the Col de Turini

Here's my pic, hope it doesn't offend anyone! (If you are in Australia and were hoping for a bright, sunny December pic of a Zed at Bondi Beach, and are genuinely offended, then I will remove the photo).

Brrrr!.jpg

Not going to win any prizes, but the realities of no usable garage. From a distance, because after a trip to Norwich, the car is too dirty…

Tandem garage, but a Spitfire inside plus two mowers, and what seems to be the contents of another house (which we moved from 5 years ago), the Z3 will not fit in. :(

Well, at least it's frozen Andy.

Tony.

Pretty much alive — MK IV 1972, no rust and totally original. When I bought the car, three years ago, it had been sitting on a garage since 1992.
I’d be interested to hear how a 1.9 Zed compares to the Spitfire. To my mind it’s the modern equivalent, and with its curves looks like the Mark 3 that I used to have.

Oh, it's quite different. Mine is a poor man's Spitfire (1.3 non-overdrive), but really easy to work on; no electronics nor fancy anything… But, I think the Z3 preserves some of that old school design principles that I love about the sixty cars. It just looks the party.

Now, mechanically, the Z3 is a world apart. I am learning, slowly, what to do. I had many BMW motorbikes before (R80, R100, R1100S), but not much experience with their cars. I am really excited to learn more.

My effort...
