So a while back I reported that my 'Z' badge fell off. This resulted me in removing the '3' which pretty much off too.
So in my wisdom the '2.0' badge required removing also. However after removal the badge had left the mark. Both badges did tbf. But with a quick buff and you couldn't tell the Z3 was ever there. However I cannot say the same for the 2.0. It appears to have pulled the lacquer off or perhaps there was no lacquer there. What's the best course of action here?

If the lacquer has gone it would need painting unless it would flat back with some fine wet and dry.

If you do that just flat each coat with 2000 before relocating. Got to worth a try mate and the weather will warm up soon.

Sorry to change slightly but i have a couple of areas where the clear coat has gone —- only about 2cm x 3 cm. does this mean i can get away with Treating the two 2 small areas with 1200 / 2000 and an aerosol spray , being optimisic

Depends where they are and if you can blend it to an edge or body line.
