Well following on from yesterday an mi gearbox probs had it into mi indie he recons new box then i went to a local trusted specialist he said the same complete rebuild needed. £2000.
Euro trip becons in 10 days.but cant be done before then anyway.
Aah the joys of motoring.

Sorry to here that Moz, looks like the 3 series with the windows open for Euro 17?
 
This is not good Moz, you may have to hit the credit card a bit But I'm sure if you put your mind to it, you can get it fixed in ten days. Anyway Good luck.

Bleeding hell we feel for you, such an issue so close to the hols! Have you thought about ringing a breakers yard to see if you could get a
replacement, but suppose wont be so easy with it being auto. Wont be same in 3 series.:banghead:

Try ringing Quarry motors on 0114 275 5916 they are a BMW breakers.
 
There's a BMW breaker on the A46 too.

Bloody hell mate. If you intend to repair it ring quarry motors as well. They also fit @MAURICE THE MARTIAN so if you could wreck it to them bet they could have done in good time for you.
 
Cheers chaps .the shock has just about worn off .
Gotta get mi thinkin cap on to decide the way forward .tbh iv changed everythig ont z in past 12 mths .spent a load on it ...except the gearbox .so i am gonna av a long hard think over the next couple of days.
