Hi, I'm Davpil, residing in the lovely Ouse Valley. I've owned five Morgans, four Triumphs, three MGs, three Aston Martins, four Alvis's, two Scimitars and a few more besides my current BMW520D and Z3. So I'm a car nut........and getting on in years ! My 520 and Z3 are both modified to be driven by my left foot - an additional switchable accelerator is installed to the left of the brake pedal on both my auto gearbox cars. It's easy to drive with the left foot when you haven't got a right one !That's a long story. My Z3 is a 2001 2.2i having had two lady owners and with only 46K miles, full service history, Topaz with black. Lovely. I'm 6ft 2in so it's a snug fit, but six singing cylinders compensates for the odd twinge. Looking forward to joining up with a few other ZEDs over a beer - anyone out there ?

Hello and welcome from Surrey, I used to drive my auto Z quite happily with my left foot when I broke my right ankle 8 years ago. Only takes a few minutes to get used to it.

My left foot behaved, at first, like two left feet ! And with a permanently removed right foot/leg it's left foot or nothing, so mods to the pedals are the only way, especially with BMW offsetting pedals to the right......anyone who doesn't know my disability car looks into my footwell and sees two accelerators, and wonders !
