It's "Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome " awareness day today :p
So I'm trying to make people aware of this awful disease :)
I've had it for 33 years but was only diagnosed last June and that was only because a consultant from another hospital was in the hospital ward where I was :)
Their is no cure and only a few thousand people have it ;)
If you could sign the petition to make this a disability, I will be very happy ;)
When I have a episode I can be sick up to 200+ times a day :(
Alan has to take days of work to look after me :(
I was admitted to hospital 4 times last year and I've been in hospital for a week in January
It's a horrible disease to have :(
I have to have fluids and sickness injections, but my veins collapse so it's hard to put the drip up :(
And also I'm allergic to the sickness injections :(
Thank you very much for reading this ;)

That sounds awful Shelly :(
I know how bad I feel when I'm physically sick, can't imagine what it's like to know that it's not going to stop :(
Will check out the petition and sign it, fingers crossed you get some notice from the the right people
Hugs to you xx

Thank you Pauline :p
When I'm in hospital, I go to all different wards as nobody knows what to do with me =))

That sounds horrendous Shelly. I'll have a look at home later and sign for you.

Thank you a Dave :p
Yes it is horrendous for the whole family :(
It must be worse for my family seeing what I go through :(

Yeah I think that too Shelly. When I was ill in hospital I was more worried about Jue, she came to see twice every day without fail, always looked shattered bless her.

It is worse for our other halfs :(
Poor Alan gets up with me every time I'm sick , and then come into hospital to see me :)
It must be very hard for my family to see me like this , but I think they must be used to it now ;)
But it still don't make it any easier :)

What a dreadful thing to have to suffer. Take care of yourself as best you can. I will check out the petition. xx

Signed

Isn't it worrying that it takes a chance meeting with another visiting physician to diagnose something as happened with another member. It must be very distressing for you but on the upside you do have Alan to care and support you. Will see if I can sort how to sign it

That sounds so horrible for you Shelly. Petition signed.

Thank you all for signing the petition :p:p

Not a problem Shelly froma profession point I noted you have reactions from antiemetics. Which ones? Feel free to pm me as I can go through a list to see what you’ve had and hopefully I might be able to make some alternative suggestions to try. I don’t know if you’ve been offered for example Odansatron Intavenously or domperidone which have had very good results in major cardiac events to settle nausea and vomiting with combined symptoms and added my favourite strong analgesia Diamorthine less nausea than Morphine and more effective analgesia but must rain myself in before off topic.
