Looks puzzling - I know little about these things - but have you checked your windscreen washer bottle / feeder tubes are not leaking and throwing spray within the engine compartment when activating the washers - or it may be a small leak from a water hose? Also - is the car parked outside overnight? Trial and error above and below the hood I guess.

Dry the engine and park under cover overnight if possible - garage.

@Rui Almeida as @DavidM says it is worth checking the windscreen washers, particularly around where the valves are (under the bonnet insulation)

I had an issue very similar to this - what looked to be condensation when I lifted the bonnet.

It turned out to be that the nozzles were clogged and as a result when I pulled the stalk to activate the washer jets, I found water would leak from where the valves are onto the engine compartment.

Hi guys have been inspecting the bonnet for the last few hours now that included the removal of the sound proofing material.
No leaks at all around this area and yes I have been using the jet washers for a good 10min or so.
This picture of the sound proofing material was taken from the inner side the one that is in touch with the rubber pipes for the screen wash and if you look closely you can see the splash marks are coming from the front of the car no from the washer jet valves.

Any thoughts? This looks like water is flowing from the front grills and going towards the back. Would this make water sit on the sound proofing material and eventually make the engines covers and remaining parts all wet?

Many thanks in advance.

Rui :)
