One for you techy guys.
I Took Zelda out for a drive yesterday. Upon starting up the revs briefly rose much higher than usual, but quickly settled down to her usual tick over speed. Had a great drive, enjoyed the sunshine, let her warm up thoroughly before giving her some revs, everything seemed normal.
Today I lifted the bonnet to check the coolant level (normal) and oil level. The level shown on the dipstiick was
abnormally high, but after a wipe and another test, it seemed much more like normal (max) which it usually is. I started the engine and removed the oil filler cap. the engine note and revs changed slightly and there was a slight suck when I put my palm over the filler hole, with the engine note changing back as to when the filler cap was on. I then the pulled the dipstick out (engine still running)and there was a gurgling sound coming from the dip stick pipe. Is this normal, or could this be a crankcase breather valve fault?
If so, how does one locate the said valve and pipework and what is the procedure for servicing /replacing them.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Bonzo.
